Jason Bresnehan is currently undertaking a feasibility study for the establishment of a network of Internet enabled information kiosks throughout the Cradle Coast region of Tasmanai a region promoted by the Cradle Coast Authority.

The project includes understadning various Visitor Information Centre's needs, identification of off-the-shelf and customisation options, the capital and operting costing of these options and a recomendation with regard to the best commercial option.


Business Plan & Property Development Plan

Tamar Valley Woodworkers Guild
Exeter, Tasmania

Jason is developing a property development plan and business plan for the Tasmanian based woodworkers guild. The plans cetnre around the development of a wood working training workshop and retail gallery at the Guild's land in Exeter, Tasmania, a location central to the pcituresque Tamar Valley's wine touring route.


Grant Application


Deloraine / Montana - Interpretive Boardwalk Eco-Experience

Bresnehan Ventures has completed 41 South Tasmania's application for a Tourism Promotion Plan Grant.

Specific criterion addressed in the application included Project Description, Visitor Behaviour, Value for Money, Project Planning Practices and Capacity to Deliver.

The application also included vision and mission statements, goals and objectives, strategies for success, market analysis, identifiable regional benefits, current level of business, risk assessment, timeline and project / funding milestones.

41 South Tasmania is a Tasmanian business consisting of an inland fresh water salmon farm, a ginseng nursery and grow-out enterprise and an eco-wetlands walk through natural wetlands environment with platypus, rare bird species, fish, frogs, native vegetation and concluding at the Monatana Falls.

Deloraine / Montana - Start-Up Tasmanian Ginseng producer

Bresnehan Ventures developed the business model, prepared a business plan and structured the unit trust investment entities for the establishment of 41 Degrees South Ginseng, a start-up ginseng grow-out and production enterprise at Montana, near Deloraine in Tasmania. The consultancy services included the preparation of grow-out models, financial models and a business plan.

The business plan included desktop market research of the Australian and global market as well as market and technical consultation with the Tasmanian Department of Primary Industry and Water.

Jason Bresnehan undertook a six month assignment as the contract CEO of Funnelback, an early stage CSIRO owned company commercialising an enterprise search software platform.
Jason managed Funnelback’s 15 staff across four divisions of Research and Development, Products and Services, Sales and Marketing and Accounting.

Significant achievements during the six month term included winning a deal to provide the within site search for all Australian government websites, continuation of the 35% compound annual sales growth, the setting of clear Research and Development and product development plans, the expansion of the client support team including the introduction of 24/7 support, the development of marketing collateral, the commencement of an international publicity campaign, the preparation of indicative business plans and capital raising documentation, various business development initiatives and 100% customer contract renewals.

Funnelback customers include; the ABC, NineMSN, one third of Australian Universities, numerous Australian Government agencies such as ASIC, the Queensland Government as well as clients in the United Kingdom and Canada.
