Jason Bresnehan prepared three award applications for Imagination Corp’s entry in the 2004 Tasmanian ICT Awards. Based on the applications, Imagination Corp was successful in becoming a finalist of the Alphawest business Solutions Award and the Telstra Country Wide E-Commerce Award.
The applications included detailed descriptions of the company’s product, marketing and commercialisation strategies as well as addressing specific award assessment criteria.

Bresnehan Ventures co-founded and seed invested NewsGallery Pty Ltd, the developer of a patent pending online media release publishing and distribution platform. The company was successful in receiving an Ausindustry COMET grant program based on an application prepared by Jason Bresnehan.

Melbourne - $30 million early stage Australian technology venture capital fund
Between 1997 and 2004 Jason Bresnehan provided venture capital management services Melbourne based venture capital firm Momentum Investment Group a technology venture capital firm that invests in high-risk early stage companies commercialising technologies internationally.
As part of a four person venture capital team Jason was involved in all aspects of the international venture capital process including; initial company assessment, detailed due diligence, negotiation of investment terms, deal structuring, project managing the deal closing process, legals, subsequent investee management, investee directorships, the development of investee commercialisation strategy and action plans, exit strategy and execution.
Jason travelled throughout the world on behalf of Momentum’s investees and has undertaken mandates in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Atlanta.
During this Jason has performed over 40 detailed assessments of Australian technology companies and led three multi-million dollar investments.

Caulfield - E-Commerce enabled vending systems for biological chemicals
On behalf of venture capital investor Momentum Ventures Jason Bresnehan was appointed the interim CEO after the departure of the founding CEO.
Jason recruited a general manager, engineering team, relocated its ASP bureau infrastructure to Launceston and and commenced product and trade sale discussions with one of the United States largest companies, Cardinal Health.
Jason successfully raised $750,000 in an unsecured loan finance for the fledging technology company and managed an equity investment of over $2 million to finalise production prototypes and commence international commercialisation of its e-commerce enabled refrigerated vending systems for the fulfilment of perishable biological reagents.
