Melbourne - $30 million early stage Australian technology venture capital fund
Between 1997 and 2004 Jason Bresnehan provided venture capital management services Melbourne based venture capital firm Momentum Investment Group a technology venture capital firm that invests in high-risk early stage companies commercialising technologies internationally.
As part of a four person venture capital team Jason was involved in all aspects of the international venture capital process including; initial company assessment, detailed due diligence, negotiation of investment terms, deal structuring, project managing the deal closing process, legals, subsequent investee management, investee directorships, the development of investee commercialisation strategy and action plans, exit strategy and execution.
Jason travelled throughout the world on behalf of Momentum’s investees and has undertaken mandates in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Atlanta.
During this Jason has performed over 40 detailed assessments of Australian technology companies and led three multi-million dollar investments.

Albury - Australian Wool Grower Group
In conjunction with Strategic Partner, Total Business Consultants, Jason Bresnehan was mandated by the Riverina Wool Growers to develop a strategic business plan for the Growers planned entry into the development of a Riverina Wool Brand and marketing of the merchandise internationally.
Preliminary designs proposed that the Growers will market the woollen apparel under the Wirdjuri label with designs that brings together the traditional colours and feel of the aboriginal tribe of the same name and modern functional easy wear designs.

Pacsoft Pty Ltd and Retsysco Incorporated
Melbourne and Portland USA - Developer and marketer of leading retail automation and accountancy software for the hardware and timber industry
Jason Bresnehan was retained by Pacsoft to investigate and facilitate venture capital or trade sale opportunities for the early stage technology company. Jason Bresnehan prepared a detailed Information Memorandum (including valuation) and assisted with the identification of potential USA and Australian investors and negotiation with the investors.
Jason was successful in negotiating a term sheet for a $1.5m investment with an Australian venture capital fund prior to the Company agreeing to be acquired by ASWX listed PEG Technologies in July 2000.

Los Angeles and Sydney - Developer and manufacturer of digital audio-post production consoles and equipment
Jason Bresnehan was retained to prepare a detailed Information Memorandum for the Company’s US $5m second round of venture capital. The mandate involved the preparation of detailed financial projections and business model development for the Company’s planned entry into the video production and video post-production market as well as the development of Internet enabled post production project sharing capabilities using the Rocket protocol. The Memorandum was used to close a US $2.5 million second round financing.

Justwin Technologies Incorporated
Los Angeles - Supply chain management software solution
Jason Bresnehan was retained by the Los Angeles based company to prepare a detailed Information Memorandum for the company’s new business model strategy to leverage off its electronic work flow solution for the apparel sector and enter new manufacturing sectors.
The Information Memorandum prepared was extensive and was utilised by a New York based firm of investment bankers to close a second round of venture capital finance of over US $5 million.

Canberra - Preparation of a CD-ROM on river restoration and management
In 2000, Jason Bresnehan assembled a digital media project development team consisting of Mondo Visual Communications, Ecosynthesis, Freshwater Systems and The Doc to produce an interactive, multi-media CD-ROM on river restoration and management on behalf of LWRRDC.
The CD-ROM is based on an existing folder based manual of river restoration and is to be used as a stand alone CD-ROM or accessed on the World Wide Web by river and stream managers across the country. Malcolm Cowan project managed the entire design, development and production process for the $250,000 project.

Jason Bresnehan was retained by the Group to assess the opportunities for a browser based asset management software solution part developed by the Company.

Bosch Engineering Pty Ltd
Launceston - Proposed $40 million 9 dam irrigation scheme in Tasmania
Between 1999 and 2002, Bresnehan Ventures was the key adviser to Bosch Engineering in its bid to secure $500,000 in feasibility funding from the Tasmanian Government to prepare detailed engineering, financial, environmental and social studies into the development of since irrigation schemes northern Tasmania.
